Post-war political situation in Lovosice (1945-1948)

Příloha č. 2 Abstract In my bachelor's thesis I decided to write about the political situation in the town of Lovosice after World War II during the so-called Third Republic in the years 1945 - 1948. At the beginning, I would like to focus on the liberation of Lovosice by the Red Army and analyze the process of taking power by the National Committee, headed by Rudolf Kaftan. How the fighting took place, what influence the domestic Czech resistance had there and what was the resistance from German troops and local Germans. I would like to focus primarily on these issues. I would also like to process the subsequent expulsion of the German population from the city, where it may be interesting to follow the fates of some German families and important people. I want to find out how the expulsion of the Germans took place, in what amount, according to what rules and if there were any excesses and loss of life. I will also be interested in how the savage expulsion in 1945 differed from the organized one, which did not begin until May 1946. I also want to analyze the property relations and changes that took place during the expulsion and in the following months. I will also point out the significant demographic change of the city.
